John Legend and Sam Smith once again joined their voices for charity. This time it was for Lady Gaga’s curator One world: together at home concert Saturday April 18, broadcast simultaneously on several networks and streaming services.
The two award-winning musicians performed a duet of the famous hit by Ben E. King in 1961, “Stand By Me”, while being isolated from their respective houses. Legend was playing the piano sitting in front of a wall decorated with his many trophies, encircling the words with a sweet smile on his face. Smith, meanwhile, swung from side to side singing.
Prior to One world, the two artists gathered their voices for the hit by English singer “Lay Me Down” in 2015 for Red Nose Day, which was also the official single of the charity event.
The One World concert was organized to celebrate the frontline health work of the global coronavirus pandemic and is a collaboration between Global Citizen and the World Health Organization. He has presented numerous celebrity performances and appearances and has so far raised $ 50 million.
