Joel OsteenStill going big with his Easter service in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, but of course – for security reasons – all the big names he has recruited will perform remotely … for a virtual service. Sources close to Osteen tell TMZ … that his Lakewood church in Houston will host Kanye west, Mariah Carey and Tyler perry Easter Sunday to deliver messages of love and support to its large audience. Our sources say Mariah will be part of a special tribute to healthcare professionals and first responders who put their lives on the line in the battle against COVID-19. We are told that she will sing her song “Hero” via webcam.
Perry’s plan is to provide words of encouragement to viewers during this difficult time, and Kanye will return with his choir to provide music for the service … while practicing appropriate social distancing. Our sources say that Kanye and his Sunday Service team will perform in Los Angeles and will be broadcast on the great church of Osteen. It’s unclear if all of these performances will be live or pre-recorded, but anyway … it will be one of the most famous church events of all time.
