Joe Douglas Hints Jets Might Not Be Made By Adding Offensive Line Players (And Other Observations)

Jets general manager Joe Douglas spoke to the media today during a conference call. Here are some important points.

On the offensive line…

I think the offensive line is the Jets' priority. The problems on the offensive line are similar to the rest of the list. The Jets lacked both skilled players and young revolutionary talent. It seems that the strategy is to add the actors through free agency. The young talent who will change the game will have to go through the repechage. The line is the starting point.

Any statement made on April 1 could be a smokescreen, but if the Jets choose a tackle at the start of the draft, it looks like a competition is underway.

It looks like the Jets are still figuring out what their line will look like. The project will play it.

Generic GM speaks…

On the rehabilitation of injuries…

On a Jamal adams contract extension…

On the wide position of the receiver ...

Coke joke on the Florida swamp being for sale if you think the Jets are happy with their current group of wide receivers.
