Liverpool icon Jamie Carragher has ruled on his favorite player between Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane.

Mane and Salah are among the famous Liverpool top three, alongside Roberto Firmino, and played a leading role in helping the Reds take two wins by winning their first championship title in 30 years.

The pair shared the Golden Shoe last season with Arsenal’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang while Jurgen Klopp’s team narrowly missed the championship title.

And, having once again been instrumental this season, the former Anfield Carragher defender was asked to choose one.

In a question and answer session on Instagram, Carragher said, “Salah or Mane? I’m a Mane man.

“I’m a big fan of Mane. He’s my favorite player in Liverpool.

Carragher was then asked to compare Mane to Virgil van Dijk, the Dutch defender who also enjoyed a sensational campaign.

“I think Virgil is the best player in Liverpool, but Mane is my favorite. “

Carragher also believes the proposed transfer from Werner to Liverpool this summer could be canceled as the clubs tackle the chaos caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

RB Leipzig superstar Werner has long been touted as a potential summer signing for Klopp, as the German international has seen his profile elevated during a prolific season ahead of goal.

The former Stuttgart striker has scored 27 times in 36 games this season, including four in the Champions League, making his most impressive campaign on goal to date.

Indeed, Klopp is supposed to see Werner as an indispensable alternative to the three famous fronts of Liverpool, Firmino, Mane and Salah.

“Timo Werner in Liverpool? Carragher asked during a question and answer session on Instagram. “He looked nailed before the situation we’re in right now, so it could affect transfers this summer.

“It may have to be put on the back burner, maybe for the following summer. “
