Jaguars re-sign Carl Davis

The Jaguars have announced that they will bring back Carl Davis for another year. However, defensive tackles will not be available for the first month of the season thanks to its four-game ban.

Davis broke the league’s performance enhancing substances policy, resulting in a suspension to start the year. Naturally, this inhibited Davis’ market during his discussions with the clubs in March.

The third-round pick of 2015 spent his first three seasons with the Ravens, totaling 30 tackles, a half-bag and three assists in 28 games (12 starts). His 2016 season was derailed by a knee injury and he was limited on the stretch of the 2017 campaign with a hamstring problem.

After being released by the Ravens before the 2018 campaign, he clung to the Browns. Despite his new signing with the team during the following offseason, he was released by Cleveland after the 2019 preseason. He ultimately participated in a total of three games for the Colts and Jaguars last year, collecting just one plating.
