Holly Willoughby revealed that she had applauded so loudly during Thursday night’s nationwide applause for the NHS and key workers, she broke her wooden spoon.
The 38-year-old TV presenter joined millions of people across the country to applaud the heroes across the country who continue to put themselves in danger to defeat the coronavirus.
The host of This Morning went to Instagram and shared a snapshot of his broken wooden spoon after breaking it by hitting it against a pan during the applause.

Holly was not the only one to have suffered this incident, as her fellow television presenters, Angela Scanlon and Kate Thornton, commented on her photo and said they also broke their spoons.
Several other stars joined the applause nationwide on Thursday, including Declan Donnelly, the Beckham family, Tess Daly, Vernon Kay, Cheryl and Harry Redknapp.
Holly recently had a DIY makeover during the lockdown by uploading a video of herself touching up her brown roots.

Holly expected people to wonder how she managed to get her locks dyed during the lockdown, when all the hairdressers were forced to close.
The mother of three joked that people would tell her that she was “wrong”, but insisted that it was always the way she did her hair.
