High compliance and satisfaction with COVID-19 measures, according to a survey

A survey of Atlantic Canadians shows very high compliance with the COVID-19 public health guidelines.

Narrative research has conducted a number of recent surveys, one of which shows that most of those interviewed support existing public health orders.

95% of Newfoundlanders and Labradorians agree with the actions of the Chief Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Janice Fitzgerald, in her approach to fighting the virus. This is the highest approval rating in the region.

Meanwhile, 90% of Newfoundlanders and Labradorians have asked to support the actions of Premier Dwight Ball.

100% of people in the province said they practiced social distancing, while much less, 55%, said they wore protective gloves or a mask in public places.

In terms of daily activities, 77% of Newfoundlanders and Labradorians surveyed said they had been shopping in the past week, while 42% had visited a pharmacy. Nine percent said they had visited family or friends in the past week.
