Governor J.B. Pritzker made an appearance on the state of the Union of CNN with Jake Tapper and set the record for fans in Illinois.

Pritzker asked the federal government for 4,000 fans last Tuesday, and Vice President Mike Pence responded, saying that Illinois only needs 1,400, according to the State of the Union interview with Jake Tapper. In the show, Pritzker said that Pence was examining a model from the University of Washington that, while good, was not intended for resource allocation reasons. He said that Pence withdrew from a central data point that ignored the worst-case scenarios, which actually indicated a need for “5 or 6 or 7,000 more” than what the federal government told them had given.
