Governor Andrew Cuomo Talks “Heavy Burden” to Trevor Noah in Interview – Deadline


New York Governor Andrew Cuomo spoke of his “heavy burden” and his guilt over what more he could have done to stem the pandemic in the state in an interview clip of the session. tonight with The Daily Social Distancing Show’s Trevor Noah.

Cuomo presides over New York City, which many consider to be the epicenter of the pandemic in the United States, and has been implicated in controversies over fans, testing, and the reopening of the economy in his state. He is currently warning that the state should not rush to reopen, although incidents of new illnesses appear to be trending downward.

Noah was particularly critical of President Donald Trump’s handling of the pandemic crisis.

In the first clip released, Noah asked Meghan Markle-esque a question about how Cuomo himself did in the crisis.

Cuomo said he sees his role as a communicator. “It’s personal. I try to communicate how I communicate personally, and my fear and anxiety. The differentiation is that I have to deal with the number of deaths in the state. “

He spoke of 9-11 deaths from the current and much higher number of pandemic deaths, adding, “I think we have done everything possible.”
