TV watchdog has received 20 complaints since Tuesday [31 March] – just days after viewers gathered on Twitter to share their outrage.
In the episode aired on March 27, all the stars were present as usual, except for the patriarch Siddiqui Sid, who is in his 70s.
Many were confused because they wondered if the sisters Izzi and Ellie, the best friends Jenny and Lee, the brothers Tremaine, Twaine and Tristan Plummer and the brothers and sisters Sophie and Pete lived together.
A Gogglebox spokesperson told us at the time, “Most of Friday’s episode was filmed before the Prime Minister’s speech last Monday.
“Since Public Health England’s advice was updated, all filming was subject to more stringent filming protocols which are now fully in place.
“The health and safety of our actors and our team are paramount. “
The following week, changes were made – Izzi was replaced on the screen by Ellie’s boyfriend, Nat, and the Plummer trio were not seen.
While not covered in the program, other stars have turned to social media to clarify that they are not breaking government rules.
Writing on Twitter, Lee revealed that he had moved full-time into Jenny’s trailer for lockdown.
Pete also told a critic that he and Sophie lived in the same house, and Sid was again absent from his sons – although it is unclear whether Bassit and Umar live together in lockouts.

The coronavirus was officially considered a global pandemic last month, and so far more than 7,000 people in the UK have lost their lives due to the fatal disease.
In an effort to combat the growing health crisis, it has been decided that the British are only allowed to leave their homes to go to work, exercise once a day and do some rare shopping.
Mixing of households has also been banned, with authorities currently considering tougher rules after the sunny weekend, with people flocking to the parks for picnics and meetings.
