Gary Neville lifted the cover Wayne Rooney’s “unpredictable” behavior during his night outings – revealed how the attacker had once had a fight in a nightclub, although he was marked by security by the ‘man.

Former England star Neville was Rooney’s captain at his height at Manchester United, both of whom became full members of Premier League champions Sir Alex Ferguson.

In his role as Red Devils skipper, Neville was responsible for overseeing the team building sessions, which occasionally included evenings.

And when asked which player he had the most difficulty treating as a skipper, the ex-defender mentioned Rooney as the one who had caused the most problems.

Speaking to the football show on Sky Sports News, Neville said, “Rooney. Before, you had to mark it with a security guard! “

“I used to take responsibility for it.

“I remember once – and it’s a true story, I loved Wazza, he was a brilliant boy – but when he was younger he was a little … what is the word … when we were out , he was a little unpredictable.

“I remember once a security guard was taking care of him and I literally put a security guard on him.

“I always thought he was the target of the people we saw on the street, I always thought he was someone the other fans would try to finish. “

Neville went on to explain how Rooney was once discarded in a nightclub, despite careful attention from security.

Neville continued, “Anyway, he stopped at the top of the stairs, that security guard, and handed him over to another security guard at the bottom of the stairs and he (Rooney) ended up have a battle in the middle of the stairs between the two security guards!

“It was a 10-step staircase and he was literally left alone for five steps!” But it was someone who was a challenge, but he was a big boy. ”
