French Prime Minister to present plan to ease foreclosure on Tuesday

French Prime Minister Edouard Philippe will present to Parliament the government’s plan to ease the foreclosure of France on Tuesday and oversee a vote on the proposal, according to a statement from his office sent to the media.

France has been blocked since March 17 due to the coronavirus epidemic, and restrictions are expected to be lifted on May 11.

Schools should reopen first, followed by a list of industries, including retailers, but some restrictions should remain in place.

France has recorded nearly 160,000 confirmed cases of coronavirus and more than 22,500 deaths.
