France regrets Trump’s decision to cut funding for WHO – government spokesperson

PARIS (Reuters) – France regrets US President Donald Trump’s decision to cut funding to the World Health Organization (WHO), French government spokeswoman Sibeth Ndiaye said on Wednesday.

Ndiaye was speaking after a cabinet meeting that decided on a € 110 billion bailout to support the economy through the coronavirus crisis.

Trump’s decision to suspend funding for the WHO to deal with the coronavirus pandemic on Wednesday led to the condemnation of world leaders who called for cooperation and unity.
