Eddie Jones said the coronavirus crisis would lead to the rise of more hybrid players in the resumption of rugby and supported the proposed radical changes to the international calendar.

The England head coach has already suggested that Jack Nowell could play the role of flanker for the national team while Ben Earl covered the backs at the Six Nations. During the championship, Jones was also criticized for selecting players outside their traditional positions, including Jonathan Joseph on the wing and Tom Curry at No. 8.
