Donald Trump vows to starve WHO of cash for being too comfortable with China over the coronavirus pandemic

Donald Trump has announced plans to end funding to the World Health Organization after speaking out against the organization’s “China-centered” approach to fighting coronaviruses. Speaking at the White House on Tuesday, the President of the United States said that the WHO – which had received about $ 58 million from the United States this year – could have “called him months earlier”, so that it fails to establish China’s alleged lies about the number of Covid-19 deaths and diagnoses.

Trump said, “(WHO) receives large amounts of money from the United States. We pay most of their money. They were wrong on many things. They had a lot of information early and they didn’t want it, they seem to be very focused on China … that’s a nice way to say it. They seem to be wrong on the side of China.

“We are going to examine this… they called it wrong. They missed the call. They could have called him months earlier. They could have known … they probably knew it. We are going to get a hold of the money spent with WHO.

“When they say that every hit is bad, it is not good … They did not see what was going on, they did not report it. Trump denounced the WHO earlier today for criticizing his partial travel ban to China in February. American intelligence sources also claimed that the country’s Communist government had largely understated the number of people diagnosed and then killed by Covid-19.

The Chinese government says just over 3,300 people have died of Covid-19 nationwide, but US spies say the death toll is over 40,000.

In January, WHO Executive Director, Dr. Michael Ryan, said that China is “doing the right things” with regard to coronaviruses, and added: “We have now seen an obvious lack of transparency.”
