DAVID BECKHAM joined the growing crop of stars that had their heads shaved during the coronavirus lockout.
The former English captain unveiled his new barnet on Instagram.
Becks, who has always loved to make a splash with his new haircuts, is one of the football stars who cut their wicks.
Paul Pogba of the former Becks Manchester United club was among the first to start the trend.
Teammate United Anthony Martial also followed suit during the three-week lockout to help stop the spread of Covid-19.
Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin also shaved his flowing locks.
Former Real Madrid Chelsea star Eden Hazard went even further by going completely bald.
And Becks opted for a not so surprising buzz cut.
Her Instagram post got good responses for her new look and, at the time of writing, had nearly 1.5 million likes.
One user probably summed up the opinion of many by saying the look: “Really nice”.
It’s not the first time Beckham has opted for the short look. He had a shaved head in 2000.
And former United boss Alex Ferguson made him shave his mohawk the same year.
David and his family are at home in the Cotswolds during the lockout.
That means he has to manage his new Inter Miami club remotely.
But with virtually all football postponed during the coronavirus epidemic, this has not been a problem.
