FULL WALMART DECLARATION
This is devastating news. There are no words to express the loss of the two partners in our Evergreen Park store and we mourn alongside their families. Neither partner has been in the store for at least the past week and since that time we have strengthened our cleaning and disinfection measures which include thorough deep cleaning of key areas of the store and installed signage and stickers to encourage social distancing. . On March 31, the store passed a third party safety and environmental compliance assessment. The health department also inspected the store and no problems were reported. We are now taking the extra precaution of using an outside company to further clean and disinfect the store. All of these measures are aimed at ensuring the safety and well-being of our associates and customers. We will continue to assess the situation and take further action if necessary.
