There was a hilarious find at the Dev Alahan corner store, only spotted by eagle-eyed fans.
It was at the back of a scene, but it provoked the reaction of those who saw it.
So much so, one viewer suggested that the store needed reports – sure that what they had noticed was not legal.
The observation in question was that Dev was selling already opened bottles of Jack Daniels whiskey.
Of course, Coronation Street being a soap, locations such as the store are fictitious.
Because they are not real and are not actually used, fiction stores do not tend to stock real products.
From fake fruits and vegetables to empty packaging, soaps take different approaches to make them realistic.
While it’s unclear whether the whiskey in the bottles sold in Dev’s store is real or not, it was not the thing that caught the eye of viewers.
With the bottles open, this suggests that the alcohol is fake and that the bottles are filled with something else.
The loose covers caused hilarious reactions from the fans.

One fan said, “Dev’s store must be subject to commercial standards. He sells open bottles of Jack Daniel’s. “
Another agreed: “Spotted Dev selling open miniature bottles of Jack Daniels is a bit naughty. “
It is not the first time that a soap has been caught selling questionable items.
It was discovered that David Metcalfe of Emmerdale was selling empty milk cartons in his store earlier this year.
Coronation Street is broadcast on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7:30 p.m. on ITV.
