The chicken chain will begin selling its new product nationwide on May 4. Each restaurant will decide to offer meal kits, but Chick-fil-A expects at least half of its stores to join.
In recent years, the hype about meal kits has largely faded. But some meal kit companies have recently seen an increase due to the coronavirus pandemic, which has forced restaurants to close and kept people away from crowded grocery stores.
The mandatory move to on-site dining made it a good time for Chick-fil-A to launch the product, which it tested for the first time in 2018.

Most meal kit companies operate as subscription services. Chick-fil-A meal kits can only be ordered individually for delivery or pickup – Chick-fil-A hopes people will take a dinner kit by the way for breakfast or lunch.
And there’s only one option: a parmesan chicken kit that includes two breaded fillets, as well as marinara sauce, cheese, and a side of creamy garlic-lemon pasta. Customers can customize the order by replacing the breaded fillets with grilled or spicy chicken. In addition, Chick-fil-A has done most of the work for its clients. The chicken is precooked, so customers just have to reheat the fillets at home.

This month, Chick-fil-A began selling 16-ounce bottles of its signature Polynesian sauces at Publix, Target, Walmart and Winn-Dixie stores in Florida. He also started posting videos on his Facebook page showing customers how to cook meals using Chick-fil-A products and selling “family meals” or sets of menus that serve four people.
