Cheltenham Festival “spreads the coronavirus across the country” | New


There are fears that the mass gathering of more than 250,000 people at the Cheltenham festival last month may have spread the disease across the country as famous faces and members of the public who attended it were tested positive.

Comedian Lee Mack spent two days at the height of the jump racing season before being tested positive for Covid-19, with a friend saying he believed he had taken it from his pilot on his journey to the event.

Andrew Parker Bowles, the former husband of the Duchess of Cornwall, also contracted the coronavirus and said he thought “it probably got it on the Wednesday or Friday I attended Cheltenham.”
