Chelsea has 1,965 cases at a rate of 5,517.10 cases per 100,000 people – by far the highest in the state. It is estimated that 80% of Chelsea residents are essential workers, and thousands of people line up every week for food.
The other cities with a rate higher than 1,730 cases per 100,000 inhabitants – twice the state average – are Brockton (2,783.76), Everett (2,068.55), Lynn (2,037.60), Randolph (1879 , 07), Lawrence (1858.78) and Revere (1843.51).
No figures are reported in cities with fewer than five cases.
