Gemma was on the tea quiz favorite on Wednesday as she attempted to accumulate life-changing money.
The competitor, one of four greeted by presenter Bradley Walsh in the series, ran into Shaun Wallace.
Responsible for facing The Dark Destroyer, Gemma brazenly accepted a MINUS offer to return to the team safely.
But it was after she implored her competitors to support herself and accept Shaun’s superior offers, reports The Liverpool Echo.
Of course, by accepting a higher offer, the candidate must take one more step towards Shaun – which means that he has less room to maneuver to try to go around the final chase.
One viewer turned to Twitter to say, “Gemma the serpent, who opted for the deal less after telling everyone to go get the great deal”
“Tell everyone to go up high and go down themselves,” added a third.
Gemma was taken with four questions to ask and therefore was unable to make it to the final chase.
* The Chase continues tonight (Thursday) at 5 p.m. on ITV1 and is broadcast every weekday. Her spin-off, Beat The Chasers, will air at 9 p.m. on ITV tonight and tomorrow (Friday).
