Amanda Kloots posted an update on Instagram as the 41-year-old actor’s condition worsened after being admitted to intensive care after experiencing symptoms of pneumonia.
Kloots confirmed on April 1 that Cordero had tested positive for COVID-19 and that the actor named by Tony had been in serious condition since.
The fitness trainer updated his subscribers on Saturday evening, saying in an Instagram Story video: “We made great progress and yesterday I received a phone call saying that he had an infection in his lungs that had caused a fever much higher than normal, which caused her blood pressure to drop, which caused her heart to beat irregularly.
“He lost consciousness, lost his pulse and they had to resuscitate him. It was very scary. They had a lot of trouble getting it back. “
Kloots revealed that Cordero was then put on dialysis to help with his kidneys as well as a machine that would help with the function of his heart and lungs.
Cordero has also been placed on a ventilator as he struggles with the coronavirus becomes more difficult.

Kloots also said that her husband needed emergency surgery after a blockage of blood flow to his leg.
Kloots continued, “He came out of surgery, he’s alive. He is still in a very critical condition. He struggles; every minute counts right now. “
Then she burst into tears, adding, “Thank you for your prayers and everything and just keep praying. “
On Easter Sunday morning, Kloots posted a video of her dancing while explaining that she films a clip for her husband every day, which she then sends to him.
Captioned the video, she wrote, “Every day, I film a home video for Nick. I send him on his phone so that when he wakes up, he can look at them and feel like he’s with Elvis (their 10 month old son) and I every day.
“I filmed this the other day and when I sent it, I realized what Elvis was doing when I was desperately trying to entertain him.
“My good friends encouraged me to try to laugh at least once a day. When I saw this video, I definitely let out a little laugh.
” I hope you too. All I can say is that Elvis is a stern critic! “
Cordero is a star of many stage productions, including Rock of Ages, Waitress, A Bronx Tale and Bullets Over Broadway.
