The popular retail giant is a huge favorite among Brummies looking to DIY around the house and garden.
And in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, which caused a nationwide blockage, B&Q proved to be overwhelmingly popular with UK buyers.
While customers are clamoring for everything from decking and paint to tools, B&Q has opened 14 stores across the UK.
And now the chain has confirmed that more will open – with strict social distancing measures in place.
The nearest Birmingham store currently open is Coventry – but now 61 more have reopened.
A B&Q spokesperson said, “As with shopping in a supermarket, we have introduced social distancing controls in these reopened stores.
“We strictly limit the number of customers in the store at any time. Customers may therefore need to queue before entering the store.
“To help remind everyone to respect their personal space, we have two-meter floor markers in all of these stores and Plexiglas screens at checkouts. “
Services such as kitchen and bathroom design, paint mixing, wood cutting and key cutting are not available.
