Some of the tastiest and most refreshing Cabernet Francs come from the Loire Valley in France.

Bourgueil wines are among the most beautiful values in the region. Typically, they will have a more vibrant acidity and will be lighter than their Californian counterparts.

This 100% Cab Franc has beautiful aromas of blackberry, herbs and redcurrant. Flavors of raspberry, redcurrant, spices and more herbaceous tones coat the palate.

If you’ve never tried a Cab Franc de la Loire and like Pinot Noir, this is a great example at a great price!

Pair with: baked chicken, grilled brats, pasta in marinara sauce, salami and cheese.

Price: $ 12.99.

Jeff Anderson is a sommelier at Westside Liquor.
