Coronation Street favorite Beverley Callard signed up for this year, I’m a celebrity … Get me out of here!

The 63-year-old has been playing with and against bartender Liz McDonald for over 30 years.

It first appeared on the cobblestones of Wetherfield in 1989 and has always been a favorite.

After joining the ITV soap opera in 2013 after a break, the actress announced her decision to leave and explore other roles last year.

Its final scenes are slated to be shot in July, with bosses hoping the lockdown will be eased by then.

Beverley admitted that she would miss almost everything about the iconic ITV soap, but she would certainly not miss the wardrobe of her characters.

The star said, “I will miss romances and bickering but not fashion.

“On the last day, I will set Liz’s wardrobe on fire,” she added.

An insider revealed, “Everyone was delighted when Bev said yes, she is such a valued face of ITV.”

Matt Baker’s host and former footballer John Barnes are possible camp mates for Beverley.

She will be busy before that date, as she is due to star in the theatrical production The Thunder Girls from September.

This is a poignant story about a group of girls from the 80s who meet after 30 years apart.

Bev said, “I hope that the many ageist bosses will note the success of this show.”

There is no doubt that the highly regarded star of Corrie will bring a lot to the table when it comes to his stay in the famous Australian jungle.
