Patrick Bamford said he knew little about Ben White before he joined Leeds United, but he is confident that the central defenseman on loan will be “very good” in the future.
Leeds trusted White a lot in the summer, with the 22-year-old replacing the fan favorite Pontus Jansson.
And, it figures in every minute of championship football, which eases the transition to the second level of English football.
At the other end of the field, Leeds has Bamford, who recently admitted in the Yorkshire Evening Post that he knew little about the Brighton crane and Hove Albion.
The attacker revealed: “Ben was an unknown quantity, I certainly didn’t know him before his arrival and he’s going to be very good. ”
White’s impressive form saw him form a solid relationship with Liam Cooper as central defender.
Marcelo Bielsa’s team leads the league table with only nine games left in the season.
The season is of course on hold following the coronavirus epidemic, but when football resumes, White and his teammates will seek to secure Premier League football for Leeds for the first time since 2004.
QUIZ: Can you name the jersey number of each Leeds United player?
Few people know a lot about White before he came to Leeds, but 37 league games and it’s a known name.
White oozes class when he’s on the ball, while his defense is just as chic.
He’s destined for the top of next season, whether it’s with Leeds or someone else.
