Reading the heartbreaking message from Kate where she thanked NHS staff members for “keeping her husband alive,” Ben said, “So we send all of our love and thoughts to Kate, Darcey and Billy and well sure Derek. We keep our fingers crossed.
“And to all of you going through something like that. It is heartbreaking, I also have family members who are very sick right now, and people I know and friends who have lost friends and family.
The message of support came hours after Kate, 52, went to Instagram to inform fans of her husband’s health as she joined the nation to applaud NHS staff.
Kate praised NHS workers for “keeping her husband alive” during the pandemic, and also thanked her neighbors for their own kind gestures, which included delivering meals for her family.

Kate went to Instagram to share a video of the fireworks set off by her neighbors in honor of NHS staff as the nation gathered again for “Clap For Carers”.
The star – who has a daughter Darcey, 14, and a son William, 10 – said her husband is still fighting the deadly COVID-19 virus, and also praised the neighbors for their own offers of help.
