Behind the scenes arsenal: Aubemeyang decision, summer transfer plans and Santi Cazorla’s return

It has now been over a month since Arsenal last kicked in a competition. The coronavirus pandemic means that football in most countries of the world has been suspended.

It’s still unclear when the Premier League will return, but while there may not be much to say on the pitch, there is still a lot going on off the pitch to provide fans their dose of football.

So this means that Arsenal correspondent Art de Roche had many topics to discuss during a live Facebook video on Friday afternoon.

Topics ranged from the inevitable discussion of the transfer upon returning from the Premier League.

There were also questions regarding Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s situation at the club with him being out of contract next summer.

“Obviously, with the end of his contract in 2021, that will have to be settled this summer,” said Roche.

“I don’t think it’s something they would like to repeat with Aubameyang, so if it means biting the bullet and accepting lower fees, that could be an option. “

Other questions concerned the creative midfielders and former player Thomas Rosicky.
