Anglesey’s White Eagle and Oyster Catcher pubs take office


The chain of pubs which owns The White Eagle in Rhoscolyn and The Oyster Catcher in Rhosneigr went into administration.

Sarah O’Toole and Jason Bell of the Manchester office of Grant Thornton UK LLP have been appointed joint directors of 16 Hospitality.

The group owns and operates four pubs – both in Anglesey and two sites in Cheshire – The Partridge in Stretton and The Old Hall Hotel in Frodsham

Pubs are currently closed due to COVID-19 restrictions, the majority of the workforce has been put on leave.

Sarah O’Toole said: “We hope we can find a buyer for businesses despite the current challenges facing the advertising and hospitality industry. “

Pubs are well known on the island for their food.

But hospitality has been hammered by the coronavirus pandemic with sites closed since the March 22 lockdown.
