Theater buffs can have their own West End experience at home as Andrew Lloyd-Webber puts some of his famous musicals on YouTube during the coronavirus crisis.

The YouTube channel The Show Must Go On will allow fans around the world to enjoy the hit composer’s hit musicals, including Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and Jesus Chris Superstar.

Each show will be available for free from 7 p.m. on the day of its release, and viewers will be able to connect for 48 hours, with more to come.

And in addition to feature films, famous performance clips and behind-the-scenes footage will also be uploaded to the channel regularly.

It occurs after cinemas across the country are closed to slow the spread of the disease.

The first musical to be released will be the 2000 version of Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, inspired by the West End production and starring Donny Osmond, Maria Friedman, Sir Richard Attenborough and Dame Joan Collins.

The award-winning show is fully told through a song that tells the story of Jacob’s favorite son Joesph and his eleven brothers.

During his imprisonment, Joesph discovers his unique ability to interpret dreams and becomes the Pharaoh’s right arm.

The rock musical Jesus Christ Superstar, recorded in 2012, will be broadcast on Good Friday and with Tim Minchin, Spice Girls singer Melanie C and Chris Moyles.

The rock opera of 1970 follows the finals of the even days of Christ seen from the point of view of Judas Iscariot.

Fans interested in making a charitable donation will find a variety of suggested organizations listed on full YouTube videos, including Acting for Others, Broadway Cares and Actors Benevolent Fund.
