The former couple have been at war since Heard filed for divorce in 2016, accusing Depp of mistreating her throughout their marriage. Johnny is currently suing his former wife for defamation.
Paul Barresi was hired by the Amber legal team last summer to find people who were allegedly verbally or physically assaulted by Depp – and he came empty-handed.
The private detective told DailyMail.com that he had interviewed “dozens” of people and couldn’t find anyone who had something bad to say about the Pirates of the Caribbean star.
“They couldn’t say enough about his outpouring of generosity and tender heart,” he says, revealing that many of the people he spoke to were more focused on Heard.
“I went to the United States, to France, to Italy, to Great Britain, wherever Johnny Depp wandered, wherever he walked, I couldn’t find a single case, or at least one admitted, where he was physically violent towards a woman, beaten or beaten around, he is like an angel. Nobody said a disparaging thing …
“I have to say that the people around Depp are more volatile.”
