‘ABSOLUTE TRAVESTY’: Pink says she had COVID-19, rails against lack of testing

Pop superstar Pink says she tested positive for COVID-19.

Pink said she and her three-year-old son Jameson started showing symptoms of the coronavirus two weeks ago. Her doctor tested it and the result is positive. It is not known if Jameson actually had the virus.

Since then, however, it has been tested a second time and appears to be on top of the virus, which has killed thousands of people worldwide.

“My family was already at home and we have continued to do so for the past two weeks following our doctor’s instructions,” Pink said in a post on his Twitter account. “Just a few days ago, we had a new test and luckily we are negative.”

Although he is recovering from the deadly coronavirus, Pink has denounced the United States government for not making the tests more widely available.

“It is an absolute travesty and a failure of our government not to make the tests more accessible,” she tweeted. “This disease is serious and real. People need to know that the disease affects young and old, healthy and unhealthy, the rich and the poor, and we need to make testing free and more widely available to protect our children, families, friends and our communities. “

Pink also said that she would donate $ 1,000,000 to help end the pandemic, including $ 500,000 to the Emergency Fund at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, in honor of her mother, Judy Moore, “Who worked for 18 years at the Cardiomyopathy and Heart Transplant Center”.

The remaining $ 500,000 will go to the city of Los Angeles mayor’s COVID-19 crisis fund.
