With just over three weeks to go, here is a little “first assignment” from the network: the first official promo and a preview of “Deus Lex Machina”. What catches our eye in the description below is not so much to watch Lex play the ringmaster (although it never gets old) as to promise to know more about the path to Lex’s power after the “crisis”, because you are about to see:
“Supergirl” season 5, episode 17 “Deus Lex Machina”: MELISSA BENOIST MAKES HER DIRECTOR BEGINNING – Lex (guest star Jon Cryer) proceeds to develop a complex plan to bring Lena (Katie McGrath) closer to him, defeating the Leviathan’s last attack, and pitting Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) and the team against Leviathan. It is also revealed how Lex came to power after the crisis. Melissa Benoist directed the episode with a story by Lindsay Sturman and a TV game by Katie Rose Rogers and Brooke Pohl.
Based on DC Comics characters created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, Super girl comes from Berlanti Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television, with executive producers Greg Berlanti ((Arrow, The Flash, Riverdale), Sarah Schechter ((Arrow, flash), Robert Rovner ((Private practice, Dallas) and Jessica Queller ((Gilmore Girls, Gossip Girl, Felicity).
The CW’s Super girl stars Melissa benoist like Kara Danvers aka Supergirl, Chyler Leigh like Alex Danvers, Jon Cryer like Lex Luthor, David Harewood like Hank Henshaw aka J’onn J’onzz, Katie McGrath like Lena Luthor, Jesse Rath like Brainiac-5, Nicole Maines like Nia Nal aka Dreamer, Julie Gonzolo like Andrea Rojas, Azie Tesfai like Kelly Olsen, Andrea Brooks like Eve Tessmacher, and Staz Nair like William Dey.
