5 Buffalo Bills to remember from the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft

The Buffalo Bills had no selection in the first round of the Thursday evening draft. Currently, the Bills are expected to rank 54th overall on Friday, while the 2020 NFL Draft continues with the second round.

But there were certainly some things that went down during the first phase which concerned bills.

With that, here are five takeaways related to the bills for day 1 of the NFL 2020 draft:

Huge race on wideouts

Buffalo general manager Brandon Beane said he is now considering Stefon Diggs, his first-round pick after the trade to land him, shipped Buffalo’s selection to the Vikings. With this in mind, the bills were certainly on the market to draft one in the first round.

With the way things have gone, Beane seems a little smarter to make this decision. In total, four receivers left the field before the choice of Buffalo. They were Henry Ruggs (12), Jerry Jeudy (15), CeeDee Lamb (17) and Jalen Reagor (21). Make things even more interesting? The Vikings used the same choice to remove the fifth receiver from the field, Justin Jefferson.

In total in the first round, six receivers were taken. Brandon Aiyuk (25) also left the table after No. 22. If Buffalo wants to take one on lap 2, a few names to consider: Denzel Mims from Baylor, Tee Higgins from Clemson and Laviska Shenault from Colorado.
