37 new cases of COVID-19 reported in Ottawa on Easter Sunday


The total number of laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 cases in Ottawa has risen to 561, according to Sunday’s update from Ottawa Public Health.

This is an increase of 37 cases since the public health authority’s report on Saturday.

However, no new deaths have been recorded.

Confirmed epidemics of COVID-19 currently exist in 12 establishments in the city, against 14 institutions reported on Saturday.

Ontario reported 401 new confirmed cases on Sunday, bringing the provincial total to 7,049. A total of 274 people have died from the virus, according to the province’s website.

In the Outaouais region, 12 new cases have been reported since Saturday, bringing the total for the region to 169.

There are more than 1,000 confirmed cases in eastern Ontario and western Quebec.
