MGM already has a growing market for the # 1 overall draft pick in 2021. The favorites are:
* Clemson QB Trevor Lawrence -250
* Ohio State QB Justin Fields +350
* Oregon OT Penei Sewell +500
The Cincinnati Bengals selected LSU quarterback Joe Burrow with the No. 1 selection in the 2020 draft Thursday evening. It was the third consecutive year and the 15th time in the past 20 years a QB has been placed in the lead.
Lawrence is a serious candidate to maintain this trend next spring.
The 20-year-old Tennessee native took over the starting position for the Tigers as a freshman in 2018 and has published consecutive monster statistical seasons. In all, he made 65.5% of his throws for 6,945 yards with 66 touchdowns and 12 interceptions in 30 games.
He also presented progress as a rusher in 2019 with 563 rushing yards and nine rushing scores.
Lawrence has set aside speculation that he may be out of the 2020 season to preserve his draft stock after Clemson’s loss to LSU in last season’s national championship game.
“Yeah, I don’t think so,” he said to reporters. “I think I love Clemson. I love college football and whether it’s a year or two more, anyway, I love it here. I love doing what I did. I think it’s a unique experience to be able to go to school and grow up and become a man and do it with some of your best friends. ”
The “Tank for Trevor” campaigns will likely start early in the 2020 season. He looked as foolproof from a perspective that she spent two years at college.
