Judging the preliminary courses a few minutes after their completion is largely a waste of time. We won’t really know how players translate into the league and develop for three or four years. However, it is always interesting to see what the different analytical models think of your team’s draft class at the start.
At least one of these models was impressed by the transport of six men by the Titans. The NFL NextGen Stats department marked each pick based on athletics and production and concluded that the Titans were the 4th best class in the league.
The bad news is that all of the top five are made up of AFC teams, including division rival Indianapolis and Baltimore, seeded in 2019.
How Isaiah Wilson, Kristian Fulton, Darrynton Evans, Larrell Murchison, Cole McDonald and Chris Jackson as pros will be fun to watch over the next few years. I will have more of my thoughts on the class as a whole and the state of the list soon, but my initial impression is generally positive.
How do you rate the Titans 2020 draft class?
