Face masks and cloth covers have become more and more part of everyday clothing since the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommend wearing a face cover when you’re in crowded public places. It is suggested as a voluntary health measure where social distancing is not possible, like the supermarket. With the shortage of N95 and surgical masks, fabric coverings are the second best option.

When shopping for masks, look for a cotton one with a filter bag – pleated ones can provide more layers.
