Los Angeles Lakers star James Lebron has perhaps the most impressive physique in the NBA, but former Cleveland Cavaliers teammate Tristan Thompson insists that it is not the result of good eating habits.
In an interview with Joe Vardon and Jason Lloyd of The Athletic, Thompson provided the truth about LeBron's diet, which comes up against his status as a world-class basketball player:
"He has the worst diet ever." Ask him what he eats for breakfast. Like five French toasts, it drowns in syrup with strawberries and bananas. Then he has like a four-egg omelet and then he goes and just f - king dunks on someone. It does not make sense.
“He eats desserts at each meal. He will come with his week-long diet, vegan shit, but he literally eats like that doesn't make sense. It’s really a specimen. He eats like s - t. I remember a year when I tried to eat like he was eating and it didn't work. I started to put on weight and I said, I mean it works for him. He likes sweets. He likes sweets. He eats French desserts and toast. It's crazy how his body burns them. "
Even at 35, James is showing no signs of slowing down, and he has always been productive this season as one of the Lakers' two players of choice alongside Anthony Davis.
With averages of 25.0 points, 7.8 rebounds and 10.8 assists by the NBA for a Lakers team that is seeded No. 1 in the Western Conference, LeBron is very much in the MVP conversation during its 17th season.
James has racked up 16 star nods, four NBP MVP awards, three NBA championships, and three NBA MVP Finals awards during his long career, and it seems to be far from over.
LeBron is a unique athlete in a generation with unique skills, although there is no doubt that he has worked hard in his trade despite his seemingly questionable food choices.
