According to France Bleu Pays de Savoie, the text accuses the mayor, Georges Morand, of financial embezzlement and of relations with a minor girl.
Several traders in downtown Sallanches discovered a letter, which was left in the mailbox last week or tucked under their door. The text accuses the mayor, Georges Morand, of financial embezzlement and of relations with a minor girl.
According to this document, written in capital letters, unsigned, Georges Morand would have favored a local promoter in exchange for envelopes of money. The author of the letter accuses him of having “joined up with other much larger external promoters for the realization of important works (…) cultural, sporting projects (…) without forgetting the future house music”. The mayor, who is running for a 4th mandate, is called “the new Balkany of the Arve valley”, who makes “shenanigans for his villa in the sun”.
At the end of the letter, serious charges were laid concerning alleged relations with a minor girl. Georges Morand denies all these accusations.
